Abstract

Introduction: Patient safety is the main focus in providing hospital services. One of the patient safety standards set by JCI in 2011 is the National Patient Safety Goals for Hospitals. Various studies report the problem of insecurity in the service system on patient safety in various countries. This study aims to determine the description of patient satisfaction with the implementation of patient safety at the Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru Regional General Hospital Methods: This research uses a simple descriptive design method. The sample for this research consisted of 179 respondents taken using accidental sampling technique. The analysis used was univariate. Results:. The results of the analysis showed that the description of the implementation of patient satisfaction regarding the implementation of patient safety was in the satisfied category as many as 111 patients (62%). And 68 patients (32%) were not satisfied. The six components of patient satisfaction can be seen in the patient identification component 111 (62%), in the effective communication component 109 respondents (60.9%), in the drug safety component 137 respondents (76.5%), in the correct operating procedure component 31 respondents (91.2%), in the infection risk component 143 respondents (79.9%), in the patient fall risk component 106 respondents (59.2%). Of all components of patient satisfaction they were categorized as satisfied for all components of patient satisfaction.Conclusion: Based on the assessment of patient safety implementation satisfaction, the majority of patients expressed high satisfaction across all components of patient satisfaction.
